It cost us $150 to bowl for two hours this weekend at
East Village Tavern and Bowl, which is located in a trendy part of downtown San Diego that's seen major gentrification in recent years. The place is more "tavern" than "bowl." Six lanes are squeezed into a shockingly small space that's dwarfed by the adjacent sports bar.

We were able to spread the cost out among our group of five. We had burgers and yummy onion rings in the bar while we waited more than two hours for a lane to open.
Despite the sticker shock, we managed to have a great time.
